Highlights 2023

As a wedding photographer, 2023 has been a journey filled with love, laughter, and beautiful moments. Let's revisit some of the highlights…

Amazing Venues:

This year we got to visit some amazing new venues - which is always really exciting, and also capture lots of weddings in familiar surroundings - heading back to some of our favourite spots.

Emotional First Looks:

I love the genuine emotions captured during the first look moments - they have been truly heartwarming - I always get goosebumps and a lump in my throat. Witnessing these raw reactions create images that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Candid Moments of Joy:

Candid shots of unscripted fun, heartfelt hugs, and spontaneous dance moves are my favourite and capture the story of the celebration. These genuine moments have reflected the true joy and happiness shared by the couples and their loved ones.

Creative Details:

Each wedding was a canvas of creativity, all with intricate details that personalised the day. Handcrafted decorations and unique ideas, It’s important to document the attention to detail that so much work goes into. It all adds to the magic and makes each wedding individual. I loved seeing all the different 2023 colour schemes and ideas.

Human Bonds:

I absolutely love to document all the beautiful connections during a wedding celebration. The tears of joy, shared smiles, and group hugs were a testament to the strong bonds that weddings strengthen and celebrate.

Epic Dance Floors:

So many of the 23 dance floors have been alive with energy, couples and their guests letting loose and having fun. These lively moments were brilliant to capture and I can’t wait to see what some of the parties of 24 hold. I know we’re set for some good ones!!

Sunset Romance:

We were lucky this year to have many golden hour photo sessions - with some breathtaking backdrops too! I absolutely love with this time of day - that gorgeous light that deepens everything and adds a warm and romantic hue. I love when that light falls on my face - and I know it’s time to head straight out for the highlight photos.

Unexpected Surprises:

Some 23 weddings had incredible surprises, from unexpected performances to heartfelt speeches that left everyone in awe. These unexpected moments added an unforgettable element to the celebrations.

Timeless Love Stories:

The weddings we photographed in 2023 were a celebration of beautiful love stories. Each couple had a unique journey, and being able to document the beginning of their next chapter was a privilege and an honour as always.

A big thank you to my second photographer, who is also my mum, for allowing us to be in two places at once, and for capturing some amazing photos for our couples. I am very grateful for her support, talent and shared passion for photography.

In conclusion, 2023 has been a year filled with unique love stories, heartwarming moments, and unforgettable celebrations. As a witness to these joy filled occasions, I am reminded of the beauty of love, and the incredible stories that unfold when two hearts come together.
